Hey wassup beautiful person! 👋
Born and raised in Singapore, I recently moved back to my hometown after spending 9 years in Sydney, Australia. Ahh, I miss the four seasons. Singapore just has one: HOT.
I started this blog as a way to capture what I was learning from life. Once I started sharing it with others, I realised that I could impact their lives in a positive way whilst allowing them to get to know me better.
I barely share things about myself even with my closest friends and family unless prompted. In any case, it’s rare that you get to talk about everything that’s been going on in your life when you catch up. Hence, this is a way of offering y’all a glimpse into my life.
Continuous learning and growth is a top priority for me, alongside contributing to others and helping them become better versions of themselves. In my opinion, mindset is key.
Through this blog, I share what I’m learning in the focus areas of my life, which are as follows:
Personal Finance 💸
I’m fortunate to have grown up in a relatively well-off family. However, since money was never a concern, I never learned how to manage it properly. I soon found that I was not alone. I mean, most of us aren’t taught the importance of financial literacy whether at home or at school. Hence, I set out to educate myself on the basics of managing my personal finances.
I love this quote from Robert Kiyosaki:
The main reason people struggle financially is because they have spent years in school but learned nothing about money.Robert Kiyosaki
The result is that people learn to work for money… but never learn to have money work for them.
Man, I’ve gone through different waves and phases with my health and tried various things. There have been times when I’m super crazy focused on it, while at other times I just throw my hands up and let go because I can’t be bothered. I’m still learning how to strike a good balance and maintain consistency in taking care of my health.
Now that I’m in a romantic relationship for the first time (love you boo!) I’m learning how to navigate it with my partner. Also, I’ve found that many things that apply to romantic relationships can also be taken into the context of family, friendships and colleagues. And vice versa.
Aside from my top 3 priority areas, there’s gonna be some other stuff that doesn’t fit into any of these categories e.g. my forays into the world of entrepreneurship, notes from books that I’ve read and other general life updates.
Mind you, I haven’t got any of this figured out. I don’t think anyone does. Life is an endless journey of learning and growing, so the most we can do is learn and grow together and benefit from each other’s insights. I’m simply sharing my point of view in the hopes that it’ll be useful to you in some way.
I’m grateful to every single one of you who reads my thoughts dumped into these pages. Feel free to get in touch – I’m always up for a chat! 😉
